Dr. Nick Russell – Cardiology

Dr. Nick Russell graduated from the University of Sydney in 1998 and worked for four years as an Associate Veterinarian in Australia and the United Kingdom. In 2002, Dr. Russell undertook a residency in small animal medicine at Murdoch University, Australia, during which time he also completed a master of veterinary studies. In 2005, Dr. Russell traveled to the USA to undertake a 3 year residency in veterinary cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania. During this time, he attained board certification in internal medicine with the Australia College of Veterinary Scientists (2007), and in the specialty of cardiology, with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (2008). Upon completion of his cardiology residency, Nick briefly stayed on as faculty at the University of Pennsylvania before moving to Southern California and joining AVCC.

Dr. Russell's interests include arrhythmias, congenital heart disease, interventional cardiology and pericardial disease. Dr. Russell strives to optimize his patients' quality of life.
